Frequently Asked Questions

How can Cfast straighten the teeth in such a short time?

Cfast takes less time because it focuses only on the front teeth that most influence the smile, the — the social six.

Is there a high investment required in equipment?

The lab will do much of the work. Most practices have many of the instruments necessary to treat a Cfast case in the office. The Cfast store does sell the instruments and supplies you will need at very reasonable prices.

Shouldn't I refer my patients to an orthodontist, even for less complex cases?

Cfast adds another cosmetic dental procedure into your practice. Cfast is a fast orthodontics procedure designed to improve a patient's smile. After training, you will find the Cfast is more straightforward than many of the procedures general dentists carry out every day. That's why we refer to it as "cosmetic straightening." Orthodontics requires years of specialized training but cosmetic straightening doesn't. There are no complicated calculations and no tricky techniques to learn. You can learn in one day everything you need to get started. As long as you select the right cases you can achieve fantastic results from your very first case.

Braces are unpopular with adult patients. Why is Cfast different?

Cfast uses clear brackets and tooth-colored wires. Cfast is barely noticeable – and the braces are worn for a fraction of the time compared to traditional braces. Standard orthodontic mechanics are still involved, but the force required to move the font teeth is minimal. Cfast uses nickel-titanium wires that exert mild force to move teeth. There is no need for large wires or high forces, both of which can cause discomfort.

Is a retainer necessary at the end of treatment?

Yes. As with all tooth-straightening treatments, the gains of Cfast may be lost if a retainer is not worn. The patient can choose a removable retainer or a permanently bonded retainer. You can help them make a decision based on their individual case.

How does Cfast differ from other fast orthodontics programs?

There are minor differences in technique between Cfast and other programs. The major difference is the cost of the training and the course focus. A Cfast certification course costs $99 for a one-day course or an online course and we really do focus on the anterior six teeth.

Cfast sounds too good to be true — what's the catch?

There isn't one. Cfast is a fast, effective and affordable treatment when adult patients are seeking to correct their smiles. Because it does not claim to address major orthodontic issues, Cfast can be done very quickly.
